Phra Pidta Phim Yai Song Na, Fang Thakrud, Chao Khun Phon, Wat Nang, B.E.2509

Chao Khun Phon, Wat Nang, Bangkok

Chao Khun Phon is the direct and closest disciple of Luang Pu Ieam, Wat Nang. He inherited and mastered all forms of incantations and amulets consecration from Luang Pu Ieam and succeeded him as the next abbot of Wat Nang after Luang Pu Ieam passed away.

Chao Khun Phon faithfully followed the types of amulets made by Luang Pu Ieam, especially his famous Phra Pidta amulets which were one of the top in the whole of Thailand. Many wearers experienced the miracle of Chao Khun Phon's Pidta where there were many cases of invulnerability when in danger. There was also a famous case where a young boy who was a temple assistant, only tying a shred of some pieces of Chao Khun Phon's robes around his neck, went out to settle a dispute with some people. When he was struck by a weapon, he only felt an itchy sensation on the skin but no harm was done to him physically whatsoever.

Besides the miracles of invulnerability from the amulets and belongings of Chao Khun Phon, the Pidta which Chao Khun Phon consecrated in B.E.2509 by using sacred formulas he learnt from his teacher Luang Pu Ieam, were also known to be of Buddhakhun (auspiciousness) and of Metta Mahaniyom (attraction).

Chao Khun Phon also made several types of amulets such as Phra Chaiwat Kon Ut Chanarong, Phra Pidta Nur Chin and Nur Phong, Rian Roon Raek, Nur Phong Nang Sam Liam Nur Chin and Nur Phong, Mak Tui, Phayant and Thakrud.

Although a few types of Nur Phong Pidta were consecrated by Chao Khun Phon, the competition and collector standard is usually of these type, Phim Yai Song Na (big-sized double-sided). All Phra Pidta Phim Yai Song Na were inserted with a thakrud below which is different from the rest of Chao Khun Phon's Pidta Nur Phong and are popular with the collectors. It is often said that Chao Khun Phon's Phra Pidta amulets are truly proven and can be worn if one cannot afford Luang Pu Ieam's Phra Pidta amulets, which are very expensive today.
