Baramee Sib That amulets were originally created and blessed in the B.E.2480s by Luang Phor Ngern to be distributed to his disciples. Various materials were created over the years but the earliest created were Nur Din (baked clay) which amounted to a small quantity only. As the baked clay pieces were created first, they were considered the most popular and also the most valuable and rarest due to the low quantity created. However regardless of the materials used, Sibthat amulets created in the pre-2500s era by Luang Phor Ngern are all collectible and not easy to come across nowadays, especially those with complete features.
Several metal-based Sibthat amulets were also casted in the pre-2500s era such as Nur Mekhaphat (mixed-metal alloy), Nur Ngern Yuang (mixed-silver alloy), Nur Bai Phat Reua (aluminium alloy), Nur Satang (old Thai coin), etc using the traditional Lor Boran (ancient casting technique) method.
