Palad Khik Mai Kalapangha (coral wood) was one of Luang Phor Kong’s most famous Palad Khik amulet created. Luang Phor Kong was a famous guru monk of Eastern Thailand in Chantaburi province.

During his lifetime, he had followed and learnt from several famous guru monks of Eastern Thailand, such as:

  • Luang Phor Mae, Wat Mab Phai, Chantaburi
  • Luang Phor Um, Wat Sa Tor Noi, Chantaburi
  • Luang Phor Jor, Wat Pong Rong Sen, Chantaburi
  • Luang Phor Wong, Wat Ban Khai, Rayong
  • Luang Phor Leua, Wat Sao Cha Ngok, Chachoengsao

Each of his masters had their own specialty and were among the top masters in their specialised field. Luang Phor Kong inherited and mastered the wiccha from his masters, such as the using of buffalo horn, tiger fang, coral wood, black wood, ivory, etc. to create powerful and effacacious Khreung Rang amulets.

Luang Phor Kong learnt the skill of consecrating Palad Khik amulets from one of the greatest guru monk of Thailand, Luang Phor Leua of Wat Sao Cha Ngok. Luang Phor Kong was also famous for his tiger amulets and his amulets would frequently depict a ferocious tiger. Luang Phor Kong travelled to Cambodia frequently in his early years to learn the wiccha of creating tiger amulets and was adept and famous for this particular knowledge which he possessed. After he had learnt and mastered all he needed to know about the knowledge of the tiger wiccha, he returned to Wat Wangsaparos and took up the role of Chao Awat in B.E.2508 until his passing away in B.E.2532 at the age of 87.

This piece shown is a rare Palad Khik Mai Kalapangha created and blessed by Luang Phor Kong in its original and unworn condition.
